Educational and Student Records

Parents or legal guardians may voluntarily provide educational records and other documentation relating to a learner, including but not limited to IEPs, Section 504 Plans, evaluations, report cards, assessments, behavioral plans, correspondence with schools, medical documentation relevant to educational services, and similar records.

By submitting these materials, the parent or legal guardian represents that they have the legal authority to disclose the information and authorize Verbs Inc to receive, review, store, and use these records solely for the purpose of providing educational services, recommendations, academic planning, accommodations, advocacy support, and related services requested by the family.

Verbs Inc will maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect these records and will not disclose them except:

• with the parent’s or guardian’s authorization;
• to personnel or contractors who require access to provide services;
• as required by law; or
• to protect the safety or legal rights of Verbs Inc or others.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party platforms for instruction, assessment, and communications, including but not limited to:

• Google Workspace (Meet, Docs, Drive, Gmail)
• Desmos
• MindPrint Learning™

These services operate under their own privacy and data policies. By using our services, you consent to your (or your child’s) information being shared with these platforms only to the extent necessary for participation.

Data Storage and Security

All personal and educational data is stored securely using password-protected systems and encrypted connections whenever possible. Payment data is never stored directly by Verbs Inc and is managed by secure third-party payment processors.

We limit access to your data to those with a legitimate business need and regularly review our practices to ensure protection.

COPPA and FERPA Considerations

While Verbs Inc is not a school and not directly subject to FERPA, we follow FERPA-aligned best practices in handling student data.

If a student under the age of 13 is enrolled, we will obtain parental consent prior to collecting or storing any personal information, as required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Learner Email Accounts and Digital Services

Verbs Inc. Education may provide learners email accounts (e.g., @learner.verbsinc.com) for educational purposes. These accounts are hosted via Google Workspace Business and include Gmail, Docs, Calendar, and other services.

We only issue accounts to learners with parent/guardian approval where required by law. All data collected is used solely to support learning and communication. We do not sell learner data or use it for advertising. Parents may request to review or delete their child’s data at any time by contacting us at admin@verbsinc.com.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access and review you or your child’s personal information
• Request corrections or updates
• Withdraw consent and discontinue services
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal and contractual limits)

Data Retention

We retain records only as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal requirements, or resolve disputes. Once data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted.
