Course Description: Analysis of "The Giver" by Lois Lowry

A literary analysis course provides students with the opportunity to explore and interpret various literary works, honing their critical thinking and analytical skills. Through close reading, discussion, and written assignments, participants will examine the themes, characters, and stylistic elements of novels, poems, and plays, deepening their understanding of the art of storytelling and the power of language. LIVE MEETING TIME

10:00am - 11:30am (EST)

This course meets for a 90-minute live online session on Tuesdays and Thursdays. An optional one-hour drop-in office hour will be offered on Wednesdays for additional support. Students will be enrolled in one course section only. Exact class and office hour times will be confirmed closer to the start of the program.

ASYNCHRONOUS HOMEWORK TIME

1 Hour per day

The approximate amount of time participants should plan to spend on assignments and projects outside of live class time.
